So as with most of my posts I've done the math (is anyone surprised?). I'm going to spare you the details, and provide a brief breakdown of what I've learned so far.
Mage:
Soul Weapons < PvP Weapons
A mage is an unusual case. The soul weapon is a poor staff with no real critical chance. The PvP weapon is better than Nacher's dagger and I personally prefer the dagger/offhand combination. To use my previous gear analysis posts, the critical chance gained from the GSL staff, isn't enough to justify the huge spell power gain from main hand/offhand. This makes the best pre-Lava weapon combination the PvP dagger and SPL water offhand.
Monk:

I haven't checked this at all, but gladly will upon request. My guess would be that the fist weapons are roughly equivalent to the bear claws (although the claws provide a set bonus). I would also assume that the PvP healing staff isn't terribly powerful as it will be missing a lot of other necessary stats. It will most likely be better than the GSL staff, but the main hand/offhand soul combination will be better.
Ranger:
Soul Weapons = PvP Weapons
For assassin and archer the main weapons are identical (daggers and bow respectively). You'll gain more pure stats for the weapons you don't attack with (bow for assassin and daggers for archer) from soul weapons, but buying the PvP weapons will give you soul weapon equivalent gear without the huge cost and wasted souls.
Warrior:

I haven't check this at all either, but gladly will upon request. Again, I would guess that the PvP weapon(s) are roughly equivalent for dps warriors. The soul weapon is going to be the obvious choice for tanks because it provides block, which none of the PvP weapons will offer. However, if you aren't going to buy a soul weapon for tanking, the PvP main hand weapons will be better than the SPL Revenge sword.
